Album

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is the debut album by the band of the same name, released on November 9, 1976 by Shelter Records. The album was recorded and mixed at the Shelter Studio in Hollywood, California. Initially following its release, the album received little attention in the United States. Following a British tour, it climbed to No. 24 on the UK albums chart and the single Anything That's Rock 'n' Roll became a hit in the UK. Playback is a box set compilation by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in 1995. It contains popular album tracks, B-sides, previously unreleased outtakes, and early songs by Petty's previous band Mudcrutch. A companion VHS home video, later released on DVD, was also released, featuring the band's most popular music videos to date. Breakdown Tom Petty 2:42. American Girl Petty 3:33. Mojo is the 12th studio album by American rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released on June 15, 2010 on CD and June 29 on BD. It was Petty's first album with the Heartbreakers in eight years. Mojo debuted at No. 2 on the U. Billboard 200, selling 125,000 copies in its first week of release. The album was also the band's first full album with bassist Ron Blair since 1981's Hard Promises, as he played on only two tracks on the previous Heartbreakers album, The Last DJ. Formed in 1976, the band originally comprised Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Ron Blair, Stan Lynch, and Benmont Tench. In 1981, Blair, weary of the touring lifestyle, departed the band. His replacement, Howie Epstein, stayed with the band for the next two decades. In 1991, Scott Thurston joined the band as a multi-instrumentalist-mostly on rhythm guitar and second keyboards. In 1994, Steve Ferrone replaced Lynch on drums. Blair returned to the Heartbreakers in 2002, the year before Epstein's death. Mary Jane's Last Dance, The Last DJ, Learning To Fly и другие песни. At the time Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' debut was released in 1976, they were fresh enough to almost be considered punk. Petty & the Heartbreakers feel underground on this album, at least to the extent that power pop was underground in 1976 with Dwight Twilley providing backing vocals for Strangered in the Night, the similarities between the two bands adherence to pop hooks and melodies, love of guitars become apparent. Petty wound up eclipsing Twilley because he rocked harder, something that's evident throughout this record. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits CD Album 1993. 5 out of 5 stars. Genre: Pop.
