It was his second album released in 1977 see 1977 in country music and is his most commercially successful album, being certified platinum by the RIAA. It was a combination of the right song given to the right singer at the right time, but much of that combination was down to producer Billy Sherrill, who had steadily been smoothing out the rough edges in Paycheck's sound while exaggerating his outlaw stance for almost comical effect. He is most famous for covering the David Allan Coe song Take This Job And Shove It. Born Donald Eugene Lytle in Greenfield, Ohio, he began playing guitar by age 6 and made his first record at age 15. After a time served in the United States Navy which included a court-martial for assault, he began performing under the name Donny Young.
